Attorneys write to us
The Park Attorneys were not content to just write threatening letters-they arrived to take photographs of us beginning to work on the site. Only when we insisted they identify themselves did they do so on their first photographic escapade, after that they and Park Management waited until they were sure we were not present on site and then trespassed to get images.
The Park Attorneys appeared not to want to pay attention to the specific issues at hand. Perhaps they were busy, (in fact one of their letters arrived with postage due!), or badly briefed by the management companies. Nonetheless letters that were deliberately stonewalling in not clarifying the legal basis for notices are the norm.(read example here). Even though the project had been approved by the Park Ownership and Management, the Attorneys repeatedly ignored that fact. They frequently threatened legal action against the project while doing so.
(read example here). In general the letters were obfuscatory whenever they were requested to clarify any notices of violation.
